Cars which would suit teenagers the best – Part 3

The last time around, we had chaperoned the likes of some of the best cars for teenagers and that comprised about some 4-6 cars. This time around, we have got the remaining of the list. This would be the last part of the series. Although, there are plenty of choices available in the used car market and also in the new car market, few would have the safety features plus the essentials that a teen learning to drive his first set of wheels would need. So, without further ado, here is the last series of the “Cars which would suit teenagers the best” trilogy. 2009 Volvo S80: A Volvo car would obviously be the best one for a teen considering the safety options and other features that it carries. However, with the coming times, many of its competitors are already neck to neck with the Scandinavian. However, of all the cars we mentioned... [Read more of this review]

2012 Audi TT RS Review

RS is a badge that every motorist would love to drive. Mind you, just drive and not own. The reason being that apart from being one of the most sought after badges, its just that they don’t rank up in the fuel efficiency tables. This was until a few years back. Modern technology has brought about an optimal balance as far as the fuel efficiency is concerned. RS badge also means that price hike is imminent and scraping at all those speed breakers and other stuff is also very much possible. Not to mention the stares that the exquisite body work would receive. I have a new RS with me and trust me, it’s a really hard time to find a RS badge in North America. This one has got the Audi moniker behind its back and no wonder, this one definitely would be the hots for some generation to come. Here is a review of the 2012 Audi TT RS for all... [Read more of this review]

Cars which would suit teenagers the best – Part 2

Last night, we had listed out 3 cars which would suit teenagers the best and mind you, those were used cars. In a continuation to the series, we have piled in some more cars, cars which would be suitable for teenagers and wouldn’t burn a hole in the pocket while being safe and entertaining for the teenager. 2007 Mercury Montego : The reason why the Mercury has been chosen here is since it comes with ABS as standard. Not only that, it has got all the safety features in place, even on the base variant. Moreover, with not so good resale value, this one comes in even cheaper. Moreover, there is also an AWD version available in the market. The reason why these cars didn’t sell much was because the general car buying public thought them to be very slow in their respective classes. This inspite of having V6 engines. 2005 Subaru Outback: Some... [Read more of this review]

Cars which would suit teenagers the best – Part 1

Every time when a teenager reaches the age where he/she can actually drive, it’s the thinking time of parents and their worries start. Almost all of the teenagers express a desire to own or even drive a car, sooner or later. Now the troubling times start as to which car to allot to their kids. Most of the times, the teens have to start with sharing their family car. We have a suggestion here. Why not go in for a used car instead. We have a list of 10 used cars which would make for a great buy as regards going in for an entirely new car and depending on the teen to ensure that it stays scratchless. In this part, we have listed out the 3 cars and in the subsequent series, the next would be listed and so on. 2007 Ford Fusion : It’s a Ford and hence handling is a part of its DNA. This would be a car which the teen would be very happy to... [Read more of this review]

2012 Lexus LFA first drive

Toyota has toyed with concepts time and again. Some became reality while some remain just the way that they were intended to be – concepts. Having a statue at home is no value if it’s not exposed to the world or even regularly cleaned for that matter. Such a thing happened with Toyota regarding their LFA concept car. The LFA succeeds the IS F concept car and actually the second one to make to production level after so much of deliberations and yes and no tactics by the management. It was first in 2005 that Lexus first brought in the LFA concept. The production version was dogmarked for October 2009, Tokyo Motor Show. Later on, there was a new version and this is the one that I have got with me for the first drive. So, ladies and gentleman, here’s presenting to you the first drive of the 2012 Lexus LFA. The LFA was to be considered... [Read more of this review]

Solar powered air conditioner in a car

Imagine living in hotter climes and having to deal with the air-conditioning of a vehicle wherein one has to turn off the vehicle at signals or even to save precious fuel. Not only this, many a times, most of the vehicles now come with start-stop technology which inadvertently turns off the air-conditioning system inside a car for the period that the car is at the lights. Well, all these things look set to be something which would be a thing of the past. Our dear old golden ball of fire, the Sun, which actually is the reason for the heat would also provide for a solution to the same. Green Power Industrial along with Hong Kong Polytechnic University have developed an air-conditioning unit which works on the principle of solar energy. All this while, while ensuring that the vehicle remains cool, there is not even a drop of fuel being wasted.... [Read more of this review]
