Advantages Convertible offered; fuel efficient yet powerful powerplants; refined performance; agile handling; solid construction. Disadvantages Less than svelte styling; mediocre interior materials; cramped backseat. Introduction 2012 BMW 1 Series undeniably provides a very appealing combination of refinement and performance in either convertible or coupe form. For 2012, the BMW 135i and 128i gain a minor redesign, which includes redesigned interior controls, redesigned light clusters and a more aerodynamic front fascia for 128i. Okay, so when the name BMW comes to mind, there are thoughts about the luxury and handling part in the car. Does anyone even refer to the ride quality or the space inside the cabin? Those are suitably ignored. We have the 2011 BMW X3 xDrive28i with us undergoing its first drive test and here is a report of the same. With manufacturers shifting to the blue tinge in their head lamps look, BMW have shifted to the yellow factor with a hint of orange as well. The new X3 looks very good, infact better than what the other variants of the X series look like. The air intake has been widened a bit more than what the earlier one had. The face of this car doesn’t seem as aggressive as the earlier generation one. Infact,... [Read more of this review]

4 pot cylinders were never the call of the day if one demanded performance over than anything else. However, with the advent of technology and more keener interest in the likes of saving the planet Earth, manufacturers are reverting back to more cleaner, leaner burning technologies and what better than a 4 cylinder one. Well, there would be debates based on this asking why not hybrid technology? Hybrid technology has its own pros and cons with the cons outweighing the pros by a respectable margin. The major con being the rising cost of hybrid technology required for the initial procurement. As a part of the package, therein lies the inherent cost of upkeep over the years and replacing the batteries at an appropriate time. Well, savings are in the offing with the 2012 BMW Z4 sDrive28i.
